Spring is time to start anew. Whether with new seedlings in your garden, new flowers on your front porch, or new color on your couch, Spring is when people seem the most motivated to make a change.
At the Lee W. Robinson Company, we’ve been having fun with color and fabrics both in our online boutique and also with our 30+ home design clients with whom we are currently consulting.
We especially love the new Mary McDonald for Schumacher fabric. Very textual with all natural fibers, the fabrics are both tactile and visibly dramatic. Though tribal-inspired, they are wrought with the geometric shapes for which McDonald is well known. We love pairing these fabrics with an indoor/outdoor sisal rug.
Another favorite for spring is Jim Thompson’s latest stylized print in which Thompson provides a new interpretation of a basket weave.
As you may know, I’m a longtime fan of Hermes, and am happy to be the exclusive dealer for the Hermes fabrics and wallpaper in this area. These new designs provide a nice mixture of what is old verses what is new.
I’d say the biggest news in fabric this spring is that bold color is coming back. So add some to your neutrally gray room, and see how it makes the space feel redesigned in an instant!
