Autumn Colors for Cooler Weather are on the Way!

It seems like just yesterday we were talking about rolling up rugs, lightening up throws and softening pillow colors. And here we are, back at the turn to Autumn, looking to reverse those edits to our home design.

What I like I about Fall is that it’s transitional… it’s not a clear-cut season in any way. Every day seems like an opportunity to decide “Jacket or no jacket?” “A/c or heat?” and “Is it too early to light a fire?”. The colors going into Fall this year seem transitional as well.

In the spring we talked about bold colors coming into play. Now, as the leaves are about to start turning, theScreen Shot 2015-09-11 at 9.37.59 AM colors are more muted, subtle, but with just as much richness as their warm-weather predecessors. This image is of some beautiful, new raw silk wallpapers we are considering for a client’s home. Though their color is not quite as “quiet” as a soft pastel, they aren’t abrasive or harsh.

Think of walking into a dining room with just enough color and texture on the walls to make your grandmother’s china all-of-a-sudden look contemporary. Consider at the end of a long day being enveloped in a color like this soft blue. Its very essence is tranquility.

We invite you to visit our showroom at 211 Clover Lane and take a look (and touch) at these brand-new color and wallcovering ideas. There’s so much more awaiting you. Drop in or call for an appointment at 895-1401.
